Belmore Resources (Holding) Plc, a minerals exploration company with a focus on projects in the Republic of Ireland, is pleased to announce that, following the recently announced agreement with Lundin Mining Exploration Limited (“Lundin”), Lundin have commenced an active drilling programme on
the Prospecting Licences (”PLs”) held by Belmore in Co. Clare, Republic of Ireland.

Two drilling rigs are currently active on PLs 3643 and 3679, and two more drilling rigs will arrive later this week.
The holes are planned:

  1. to evaluate the “Kilbricken Discovery” on PL 3679 by step-out drilling from the discovery hole.

Drillhole 3679/04 intersected newly discovered zinc and lead mineralisation. The drillhole intersected 18 metres of massive sulphide at the base of the Waulsortian Reef. The top part of that massive sulphide consists of virtually barren pyrite but the bottom part contains high-grade zinc and lead sulphides as well as pyrite and arsenopyrite. The interval from 448.1 to 458.1 metres gave the following composite result: 10 metres at 13.84% Zinc, 5.52% Lead and 62.84 gm/tonne Silver.

The mineralisation is open in all directions and further diamond drilling is required to determine the extent of the mineralisation.
  2. to drill targets identified on Belmore’s other PLs.

Company Chairman, Mr. Ian Forrest said: “The commencement of drilling on the Co. Clare licences is an exciting step for the Company. Our partnership with Lundin is allowing us to advance the project at pace and we look forward to further evaluating these prospects.”
