BELMORE RESOURCES (HOLDINGS) PLC ("BELMORE" OR "THE COMPANY")
NEW LICENCE AWARD IN COUNTY CLARE
Belmore Resources (Holdings) Plc is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an exploration licence over Area 3679 in County Clare, SW Ireland, by the Minister of Communications Transport and Natural Resources. The licence permits Belmore to explore for Base Metals, Barytes, Silver and Gold.
This licence is surrounded by other licences held by Belmore which contain a drill indicated resource of some 400,000 tonnes grading 12% zinc plus lead and 79 g/t of Silver.
Management believe that the licence contains a number of zinc / lead prospects, two of which, at Ballyhickey and Kilbricken, were mined in the 19th Century. A detailed review of previous exploration data is currently being undertaken prior to additional geochemistry and geophysics to identify the optimum drilling targets, which will be tested in a drilling programme, on this and other licences, planned for the first quarter of 2006.
