BELMORE RESOURCES (HOLDINGS) PLC ("BELMORE" OR "THE COMPANY")
COUNTY CLARE UPDATE AND NEW LICENCE WIN
Belmore Resources (Holdings) Plc is pleased to announce a follow up geochemical and geophysical programme in selected areas of its base metal prospective licences in County Clare, SW Ireland. This follows interpretation of the results of its summer drilling campaign,
Induced Polarity surveys proposed for the Clonloom and Spancil Hill areas are designed to assist geological interpretation by locating faults, while a VLF-R survey at Kilmurry should aid structural interpretation. In conjunction with soil and overburden geochemistry, this should assist in locating holes as part of a drilling programme to be commissioned early in 2006.
Belmore's licences contain a drill indicated resource of some 400,000tonnes grading 12% zinc plus lead and 79 g/t of Silver.
In addition, the Company has been awarded a new licence and has applied for two other licences in County Clare - one of which is known to contain two major prospects.
The results of Belmore's geochemical reconnaissance work (soil and stream sediment sampling) carried out on its Dromore licence in Northern Ireland between May and August 2005 have now been received. They indicate several anomalies with the geology of one in particular warranting active follow up. Consequently, Belmore is applying for renewal of this licence and will conduct a winter programme of Pionjar drill (deep overburden) sampling to be followed by geophysical work if the results so justify.
