Clare Block - Kilbricken Discovery
High grade zinc and lead mineralisation discovery on Prospecting Licence 3679 near the old Kilbricken Silver Mine in April 2008.
The drillhole intersected 18 metres of massive sulphide at the base of the Waulsortian Reef.
Results include 10 metres at 13.84% Zinc, 5.52% Lead and 62.84 gm/tonne Silver.
The mineralisation is open in all directions.
Exploration activities are being accelerated following the joint venture agreement with Lundin mining exploration secured in February 2009.
Lundin's initial expenditure was €700,000 by June 2009 and their ongoing expenditure allows for an active drilling and associated exploration programme over the coming months.
